The Agape Meal

The Agape Meal

52 Weeks in Orthodoxy

A photo a week from our life in Christ in the Orthodox Church

One of the things that makes our Orthodox community so special is that we come together for a meal after Liturgy each Sunday.  We’ve organized the Agape meal in various ways, but generally for big feast days we have a potluck and for regular Sundays families take turns providing a basic lunch.  We have four picnic tables we’ve pushed together and everyone just crowds in.  The kids take their meals to the playground or crowd in with us at the tables. Wonderful conversations can be heard during the meal, and this day a chat was going on about Crypto Currency to my right and Mega churches to my left.  Being just north of Atlanta, we get quite a few nice winter days like this one that we can be outside dining together.
